River of Creativity November Shoutouts

Well hello, it's that time again for us to tell you who we are giving a Shoutout to for our November Challenge.  Once again we were amazed and very happy with the high standard of entries and the wonderful mix of crafting styles.

If you are looking for our current challenge there is a link in the side bar.

After much deliberation we have chosen our top picks, as is the way with us if more than one of the team wants to give a shoutout to the same person then they do.

No 7 Marjeta

No. 9 ScrappyHorses

No 16 Winter Wraps

Congratulations to each and everyone of you.   We hope you will be proud to display your Shoutout Badge.

River of Creativity - Challenge 8 - Celebrate

Hello here we are in December nearly the end of 2021!   As promised previously stock has been taken and after this month the challenge will be taking a little break.  We will be back in 2022 but not for a month or two an in a different configuration.  We have started to find ourselves with a small following and getting entries that are exactly the sort of thing we want to encourage.  We do believe that the world needs challenges like this that encourage people to express themselves and be individual.  That is why we will be back, just need to sort a few things out.

On with our December theme then.  It's time to Celebrate and we hope you will.  Remember we encourage you to do your thing, from painting to pyrography, to crochet, to what ever craft you choose. Just have fun with it.

This month for the first time we are joined by a guest.  Carol Gill has been a supporter of this little challenge since day one.  On top of which she is a very talented crafter.   As it happened Carol had a Birthday to help celebrate and is sharing her creations with us.  Just look at the gloss on those Gin glasses.

And then she made this delicious looking cake.

Here are some ideas to inspire you from our amazing Design Team.  (there are links to each team members social media set up on their name.)

Art Angel

I love looking at different cultures and the history of traditions so heres a little bit of Krampus, who accordung to Alpine folklore, helped St Nicohlas out by dealing with those on Santas naughty list with punishmnts by birch rods while Santa rewarded the good children with gifts of nuts and dried fruit. Krampus is still celebrated today in Barvia, Austria, Germany and throughout Eurpoe with a festival on 6th Dec x x

Brenda

Brenda has loved the way our challenge has encourage us all to step outside our comfort zones.  On a recent shopping trip she saw a paper mache mask form.  Don't you love her party piece here.

Christi

If she could Christi would have made an other Halloween piece! Being American for Christi this is a time of year full of celebratory events with Halloween, Thanksgiving and of course Christmas.

Zoe

Me oh I just enjoy playing around with an idea and getting inky, messy and hopefully creative.
